"Roy Rogers"
The mural shows the famous "King of the Cowboys" on his horse, Trigger.
Roy lived on Duck Run, in nearby McDermott, for a period of his youth and attended what was then McDermott High School.
An annual Roy Rogers Festival is held every spring in Portsmouth and is attended by several Western movie-stars. Roy and his wife, Dale, used to attend the festival occasionally.
Roy's early home still stands and can be visited during the festival.
